Prognostic Molecular Markers Colorectal Cancer

This is a retrospective study looking at various prognostic molecular markers of colorectal cancer and the relationship of the markers to disease progression. Dr. Meleth will be involved in all the statistical analysis, on this study from descriptive statistics to survival analysis. She will also assist in the preparation of manuscripts as appropriate.

Center for Nutrient-Gene Interaction in Cancer Prevention

This is a multi-project, multi-core study to investigate the changes that occur in the breast and prostate in puberty under the influence of gonadal steroids that are modulated by polyphenols. It is focused on developing high dimensional methods in gene microarray, proteomics and statistical analyses to assess the risk of cancer. Dr. Meleth is one of the biostatisticians for in the Biostatistics/Bioinformatics Core.

Confocal DNA Cytometry Prostate Cancer

The main purposes of this grant is to Age & Ethnicity determine whether or not the range of nuclear grad of the cells of PCa, PIN, uninvolved prostate glands from patients with PCa and prostate glands from controls from patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia treated by suprapubic prostatectomies varies with patient age, ethnic group and clinical outcome.
