Cancer Center Core Support Grant

This grant supports the leadership, clinical and basic science program leaders, developmental programs, and shared resources for the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The Biostatistics Shared Facility, directed by Dr. Seng-jaw Soong, provides comprehensive statistical support for study design, data management, computer programming, and analysis for the members of the Cancer Center.

Periodontal Disease: Role of Aberrant Ig Glycosylation

The objective is to test the hypothesis that Ig-producing cells found in abundance in mononuclear cell infiltrates in PD secrete Ig molecules with aberrant glycosylation patterns of their glycan moieties.
